  • Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations, unions, and individuals? "Yes" (None)
  • "No one is above the law and that includes law enforcement. There is too much leeway for law enforcement officers who get away using lethal force. There must be reform. We must hold police officers accountable by establishing Civilian & Police Review boards in local communities to have a balanced check on police. • "Especially given our pressing needs at home, we've dedicated far too many tax dollars to military spending as it is -- and, in fact, we should conduct a comprehensive audit of military spending to find any waste and/or fraudulent charges from sub-contractors. It is unjust that weapons manufacturers like Raytheon and Boeing, or private military contractors like Blackrock, consume the majority of our military budget. Yes Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
Yes Do you support the federal government taking action, beyond those of the Federal Reserve, to alleviate inflation?
The federal government has a responsibility to ensure that hard-working Americans can afford basic necessities. This means making sure everyone has employment. Federal spending on job creation is precisely what is needed now, especially investment dedicated toward green energy jobs and infrastructure jobs. I support tax increases on the super-rich. Enough of mega-rich individuals and corporations skipping out on their fair share. The rich need to pay their taxes like the rest of us. We should end corporate tax breaks that make the gap between the super-rich and everyone else wider and wider.
No Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
Our so-called "free trade" policies have failed the American worker shipping job overseas and competing against foreign workers who are working pennies on the dollar. NAFTA caused serious disruption to my family when its passage meant that my mother to lost her means of employment -- and NAFTA's disastrous impacts all but hollowed out the American Midwest of most of its remaining heavy industry, the negative effects of which millions of people are still enduring to this day. Congress should enact economic policies that put working families first.
PRIORITY #1 -- MEDICARE FOR ALL. Everyone needs healthcare and a single-pager system via Medicare for All expansion is the way to go. PRIORITY #2 -- GREEN NEW DEAL. Climate change is a looming catastrophe affecting the entire globe. A robust Green New Deal is the best way to mitigate it, both because it would put us on the pathway toward creating a green energy system and because building such infrastructure would create new jobs. PRIORITY #3 -- AFFORDABLE HOUSING. The outrageous cost of basic housing is unacceptable and is exacerbating America's homelessness crisis. We must address it directly.
